How to survive your first love?

Hello friends!

Today I want to think about the theme first, unrequited love. Namely, how can parents help a teen who doesn’t know how to survive first love?

First love happens at the age of 13-16 years. Time in the life of a teenager and already fragile. But if the love is unrequited or comes the moment of the breakup – a long and painful experiences can not be avoided.

This is the case when parents can either win the favor of their child, providing him with proper support, or to hurt him even more.

Most of the parents watching the experiences of his child, trying to help, but often this “help” only makes things worse. What seems so insignificant with all those years, at the age of 14 seems to be the biggest tragedy. It is important to remember this always.

How to survive your first love? A few tips to help parents:

Mom, I’m scared!

I was standing near the escalator and suddenly noticed a young mother who tried to force her daughter to stand on a moving stage. The child, who looked about four years, lagged behind, clinging to the railing and cried: “no, No, mom, I’m scared!” The mother, whose hands were full of parcels, continued to pull the child “don’t be such a baby, and she said to her – I’m embarrassed for you. There is nothing terrible”.

At this point, tall silver-haired man, who was waiting to get on the escalator, leaned over to the little girl and said, “You know what it is? This is the ladder for young rabbits. At night when the store is closed, they jump on the stairs. It’s their favorite game. But during the day the rabbits are scared of people and hide, allowing boys and girls to go on their stairs for the night.” The girl looked at him. Then with a serious expression trustingly took his hand and together they went up the escalator.

“How wonderful”, I thought to myself. Must this man has children and grandchildren, since he knows so well to distract the child. But something about this situation forced me to return again and again to her. Everything was so cute and yet something was wrong.

I realized this later on tonight. The trouble was that although the girl and persuaded to climb the escalator, no one told her that it is normal Continue reading

Autistic Children

Too many people, sounds and stimuli. Everything is so unpredictable, and therefore dangerous. Go! To hide! Closed! To close, in order not to hear. Silent, so that you are left alone – alone with himself.

With a blank wall, erected by the child for self-defense, face perhaps all parents of children with autism. From whom he protected? How to set the communication through the wall?

The first thing that comes to mind, if we are talking about autism, is full of himself kid. What other States are characterized by autistic children and are they always the same?

First of all, like all children, kids with autism spectrum disorders differ from each other, have their own character, habits. Features of autistic symptoms is very individual.

The unifying feature of these children is the difficulty of social interaction, communication and stereotyped behavior. People with autism are difficult to understand other people. Because of this, communication with family members can be especially serious for them. While we intuitively understand how to communicate with each other, people with autism, this intuitive knowledge is missing.

Despite the obvious peculiarities in the behavior of outwardly autistic people look like ordinary children, and therefore, the surrounding people often perceive them as rude and spoiled, whereas it is fundamentally Continue reading
