The GLBTQ (gays and lesbians transgendered, bisexual), community has made great strides in terms of social acceptance. Now it is time for the gay and lesbian community to issue a the following statement of principles: Gay Pride month. What exactly does Lgbtqia refers to? Gay and lesbian Pride Month celebrates the diversity of our communities and amplifies the voices of people who believe that their sexuality is part of who they are, rather than something society doesn’t accept. In a show of pride gay and lesbian celebrations of pride can be as colorful and unique as the lovers of hues and colors of paint.
In the last two centuries in the last two centuries, the GLBT community fought for equal treatment in public sphere. In many cases they have enjoyed the same rights and rights as heterosexuals. In the present, across the country the legal recognition of same-sex sexual relations is becoming more widespread, and marriage is recognized as an union between male and female. Although the movement to protect gay rights did not accomplish what its leaders had wanted, gay and lesbian people have made significant strides towards equality in terms of legal rights and acceptance in society.
For some lesbian or gay people they want to be seen as a sexually open and accepting group goes beyond the pleasure of simply being accepted as a person who is attracted by the same sex. People want to see an inclusive group that is open to any sexual relationship, even those that don’t include gender roles. To them, lesbian or bisexual individuals are as able as any other group of people to have sexual relations with men or women and to fall in love and to reproduce. They don’t consider themselves less valuable because they’re involved in sexual relationships of the same kind.
One way gay and lesbian men can help each other is by encouraging one another in their romantic and sexual relationships. This is particularly important for younger individuals who may still be engaged with adult partners who have an open view of their sexual orientation. While homosexuality and similar-sex relationships are a regular occurrence for many years, until recently they were seen as something that was a novelty or a unique lifestyle. Today, similar-sex relationships can be considered a valid part of the human experience. Many young people feel that being lesbian, gay or bisexual does not define them. They come to terms with their differences and realize that they are perfectly fine as an accepting, loving lesbian couple.
The support of family and friends can make a an enormous difference in a person’s willingness to accept their sexuality, regardless of how accepting they are of their sexual identity. The support of a variety of groups in the community of lesbians is a long-standing tradition. Homosexuality is deeply established and has been supported for many years. While homosexuality is not a solution completely however, it’s possible to make it easier for gay teens to accept their sexuality through the support of heterosexual friends, family, and colleagues. The acceptance of homosexuality can have a profound effect on younger lesbians who are still unsure if they will be able to open up to their families or to society.
Due to the steadfastness of the GLBTQ community, Stonewall riots were successfully put down in the event that the Stonewall uprising happened. While the situation is great for people who support the homosexual community and wish to end discrimination, it’s not the best for the lesbian community that suffer from discrimination based on of their sexual orientation.
